Smarter forms, faster ProConnect linking, and turbocharged backups

1. Unsupported forms at a glance: The Forms page now includes an “Unsupported” tab with counts and category grouping, powered by an automated evaluator that flags IRS info returns your tax software doesn’t support. You’ll instantly see which items need manual entry and the source documents behind each item.
2. ProConnect W‑2 and 1095‑A accuracy upgrades: Added direct inputs for W‑2 Boxes 15–20 and full monthly capture of 1095‑A (Columns A/B/C), plus stronger validations for ID types and direct deposit. This fixes NJ W‑2 override issues, improves PTC accuracy, and reduces common Box 2 vs Box 4 mistakes.
3. CCH Axcess data-entry safeguards: We now deduplicate detail‑grid entries using unique keys and auto‑sanitize phone numbers to prevent diagnostics, with select fields disabled to avoid common errors. Form 8829 (Schedule C) no longer defaults the simplified method checkbox, preventing accidental elections.
4. 2025 SALT deduction rules updated: The SALT cap is updated to $40,000 ($20,000 MFS) with income phase‑outs, and your review checklist/database were migrated to the correct 2025 limits. Reviews now evaluate against up‑to‑date thresholds without any action on your part.
5. ProConnect Client List and smarter matching: See and link ProConnect clients directly in your client list with provider branding, and rely on a nightly sync to keep data fresh; we also skip unnecessary waits once linked. When a client can’t be found, you’ll get a clear “no action needed” message while our team handles matching, and auto‑create is disabled by default to prevent duplicates.
6. Backup management, from bulk to precise: Browse and download backups via a new page and in‑app versioning sheet with meaningful labels, file names, and external client IDs—backups stay visible even if a connection is removed. Upload and process bulk files (CCH .dat, UltraTax .zip, Drake .7z) and automatically extract a single client’s backup from a bulk archive when needed.
