1. IRS form accuracy upgrades: Corrected Schedule F mapping, W-2 Box 14 and code descriptions, and K-1 Box 14 handling to reduce downstream adjustments. Fixed a Form 1116 validator issue for optional country fields and tightened 1099 task rules, cutting review time.
2. ProConnect data entry boost: Added automatic payload generation for ProConnect data entry to reduce manual keying when sending returns. Improved screen extraction reliability to minimize field mismatches on import.
3. CCH Axcess backup/restore reliability: Backup/restore now uses UTF‑16LE encoding with updated processing, preventing garbled characters in transfers. Partner Workspaces can restore CCH backup files with improved export/import handling and exact-field mapping for cleaner migrations.
4. Hands-off workflows to your tax software: Automatic data entry is now enabled to prefill returns faster. A new send-to-tax workflow supports service-triggered submissions with preparer-role enforcement, streamlining hand-offs to your tax software.
5. App 2.0 for all users: New Output and Workpaper views, side-by-side Comparison, and a Source Viewer make tracing numbers and reviewing changes faster. We added a preparer-specific “Upload Tax Software PDF” button with source tracking, stage badges, and an auto-redirect to Results once diagnostics finish.
6. Karbon integration rollout: Introduced the Karbon integration with refinements and UI polish for a smoother setup. The new Integrations page includes a streamlined connect section so you can get linked in minutes.
